Langtang Circuit Trekking


Langtang Circuit Trekking is an extraordinary combination of spectacular views of the Himalayas along with diversified and thrilling ethnic encounters. Langtang Circuit Trekking provides excellent features and demands interest and attention, towards array  of lined rhododendron and bamboo forests with an abundance of wildlife, majestic waterfalls flowing over mammoth boulders, a chance to bathe in soothing hot springs, magnificent views of the snow covered white giant Langtang Lirung (7,200m/23,622ft), Visiting the holy lakes of Gosainkunda.

Langtang Circuit Trekking commences from Kathmandu, leading towards Syabrubesi where the actual trekking starts. An impressive village ideally situated along the banks of the Bhote Koshi River.  From here the trail at an even pace gathers elevation and reaches the Langtang Khola, as it passes through forests of oak and rhododendron and then bamboo forests on the higher reaches of the trail. Trekking further we pass through Langtang (3,430m), and reach reach the Langtang valley and the friendly Sherpa village of Kyanjing Gompa (3,870m). An impressive Kyanjing Gompa delights you with spiritual experience, the l lifestyle of dedicated Buddhist monks who perform their rituals in a beautiful Monastery on daily basis. Next morning we will ascend Tserko Ri (5,000m) for tremendous view of the Langtang Lirung (7,200m) range. A short hike will also be taken to a magnificent glacial moraine (4,300m), which can be climbed depending on the time factor and offers more spectacular views of Langtang Lirung and the foot of one of its major glaciers. We also get the opportunity of visiting a traditional cheese factory, where the produce is manufactured manually till date. Once in Chadan Bari (3,330m)  one can relish magnificent views of the towering snow-covered Ganesh Himal (7,600m) and Langtang -II (7,227m) peaks. Moving on from here we reach the holiest lake Gosaikunda, which is believed to be created by Lord Shiva with the stroke of his trident. A breathtaking early sunrise over a multitude of glistening lakes makes this journey special and worthwhile. At Laurebinayak pass we come to the final frontier of our magnificent Langtang Circuit Trekking.  While moving along we get a picturesque final glimpse of some beautiful rice terraces and a number of splendid Buddhist monasteries around the delightful villages of Tarke Gyang and Sermathang (2,621m/8,599ft), before heading back to Kathmandu.

Langtang Circuit Trekking is an impressive trekking circuit and can be attempted by individuals having moderate level of fitness. This entire trekking circuit is impressive and outstanding with outstanding panoramic views of great mountain ranges and landscapes as well. Itinerary Overview

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu followed by transfer to your hotel

Day 2: Sightseeing around culturally rich Kathmandu valley and trekking preparations

Day 3: Take a drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (8hrs drive)

Day 4: Initiate trekking activity from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (5hrs)

Day 5: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang valley (5hrs)

Day 6: Trek from Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa (4-5hrs)

Day 7: Exploration of Kyanjin Gompa for proper acclimatization

Day 8: Return from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama hotel (5-6 hrs)

Day 9: Trek from Lama hotel to Thulo Syabru (5-6 hrs)

Day 10: Trek from Thulo Syabru to Shin Gompa (3-5 hrs)

Day 11: Trek from Shin Gompa to Gosaikunda (5-6 hrs)

Day 12: Trek from Gosaikunda to Gopte (6-8 hrs)

Day 13: Trek from Gopte to Melamchi gaun (6-7 hrs)

Day 14: Trek from Melamchi gaun to Tarke Ghyang ( 5-7 hrs)

Day 15: Trek from Tarke Ghayang to Sermanthang (3-5hrs)

Day 16: Trek from Seramanthang to Melamchi Pul Bazar and drive to Kathmandu

Day 17: Departure from Kathmandu towards your onward destination. Farewell.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01:


Upon your arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight rest.

Day 02:

Kathmandu Half-day sightseeing tours (tour includes Kathmandu Durbar Square, Syambunath Stupa, Pashupati Nath Temple and Boudhanath). Afternoon pre-trip discussion of the trek. Overnight in Kathmandu

Day 03:

Kathmandu-Syabrubesi: 8 hours approx

Day 04:

Syabrubesi-Lama Hotel: 5-6 hours approx

Day 05:

Lama Hotel- Langtang: 5- 6 hours approx

Day 06:

Langtang – Kyanjin Gompa: 4-5 hours approx.

Day 07:

Kyanjin Gompa: exploration day.

Day 08:

Kyanjin Gompa- Lama Hotel: 5-6 hours approx.

Day 09:

Lama Hotel – Thulo Syabru: 5-6 hours approx.

Day 10:

Thulo Syabru- Shin gomba: 3-5 hours approx.

Day 11:

Shin gomba- Gosainkunda: 5-6 hours approx.

Day 12:

Gosainkunda- Gopte: 6-8 hours approx.

Day 13:

Gopte- Malemchigaon: 6-7 hours approx

Day 14:

Malemchigaon – Tarke Gyang: 5-7 hours approx.

Day 15:

Tarke Gyang- Sermathang: 3-5 hours approx.

Day 16:

Sermathang- Malemchi Puul Bazaar -Kathmandu: 3-4 hours approx.; 2 hour bus

Day 17:

Kindly Note:  During the entire Langtang Circuit Trekking lodging and meals (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) will be provided by the company. The visitors will also be updated on recent developments or changes if any.
