Ghorepani Poonhill Trek & Rafting


Ghorepani Poonhill Trek at Annapurna region of Nepal is a short, easy and most popular trip ideal for everyone regardless their fitness level and age. We trek through beautiful naturally blessed trails and culturally rich villages for couple of days to arrive at famous viewpoint known as Poonhill. And spectacular panoramic views of surrounding snow capped mountains are the highlights of this trip.

Ghorepani Poonhill Trek initiates after your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, transfer to hotel and next day 6 hours of comfortable drive towards scenic naturally blessed city of Pokhara.  Trekking activity starts on a following day from Nayapul, a half an hour drive from Pokhara. Ghorepani Poonhill trekking trail comprises few ascends, descends through culturally affluent Gurung valley of Ghandruk. It would be a great trekking experience walking through natural forests, valleys and views of beautiful landscapes. From Tadapani we head towards Ghorepani then short early morning hike to top of Poonhill for spectacular sunrise panoramic views of Annapurna Himalayan Range including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Machhapuchre, Mt. Himchuli, Mt. Nilgiri and other surrounding peaks. This moment is undoubtedly the best highlight of this trek that you would remember forever. After sunrise views, we head towards Ulleri, Nayapul and drive towards Pokhara to end our Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. Then we setup for seti river rafting adventure. We drive from Pokhara to Rafting beach camp and paddle our rafts for thrilling white water rafting adventures. In this way, after our put out point, we return Kathmandu concluding one of the most memorable Nepal Holidays.

Itinerary Overview

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (1345m) followed by transfer to your hotel

Day 2: Sightseeing around culturally rich Kathmandu valley with trekking preparations

Day 3: Take a drive or fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara (850m, 7hrs)

Day 4: Further take a drive from Pokhara to Nayapul (1000m, 1hr) then trek to Tikhedhunga (1550m, 3hrs)

Day 5: Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2840m, 5hrs)

Day 6: Hike from Ghorepani to Poonhill(3210m) then descend towards Tadapani (2610m)

Day 7: Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk (1940m, 4hrs)

Day 8: Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara followed by free time until end of the day.

Day 9: Join a Seti rafting trip from Pokhara then drive back towards Kathmandu

Day 10: Rest day with free time activities at Kathmandu including farewell dinner

Day 11: Departure from Kathmandu to your onward destination.
