Balthali Village Trekking takes you into the small sleepy settlements which are interestingly poised along the banks of Roshi and Ladku Khola River. Certainly one of the short and interesting treks in close proximity with Kathmandu valley is ideally recommended for those who are interested in experiencing rich rural culture, religion and lifestyle of the indigenous people. The trail goes through terraced fields and forested ridges. This is the perfect trek for family with children to spend a short holiday in Nepal. Along the trail one can meet local people in their distinctive dresses, laden porters, caravans of sheep and goats. Life in rural Nepal is hard but simple; however one can observe many religious and social events that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the area.
The Balthali village an off the beaten tracking route (1,730m.) standing on a plateau, just beyond Panauti , meagre 40 Km away from Kathmandu. This exceptional hamlet stands at an outstanding place of isolation and relaxation amidst luxuriant floras, colorful rhododendron, magnolia and sal trees cover the hill that undulates and opens out to terrace fields. Balthali Village reflects a typical Nepalese countryside with terraced rice fields and ochre thatched farm houses. This ‘off the beaten location’ has endless trials leading to some ethnic tribes thus, offering excellent short hikes and mountain biking on the easy trials. One can see snowy peaks of Dorjee Lhakpa, Langtang and whole range of mountain in a clear and bright day on the northern horizon. Many of the sacred and ancient temples and monasteries such as Namo Buddha, Indreshwar Mahadev Temple, Brahmayani Temple are located along the trail.

Arrive at at Bardia, Transfer to a wilderness cottage/ guesthouse.
The next day early in the morning after a quick breakfast, we head towards our destination of observing the wildlife in the Bardia National Park. We indulge in wild life exploration the whole day and gather unforgettable glimpses of diverse wildlife around the entire park and capture images in our respective gadgets and return back. Overnight at Park.
As a single day observation of this outstanding park is not enough. An extended full day is on the offing where we engaged in watching and understanding wildlife that much better and closer, and in the evening a surprising event hosted for us in the form of welcome tharu dance is a perfect icing on the cake in the wilderness. An ethnic tribal dance is excellent. Overnight we rest at the park.
This final day dawns and inviting us to take a lasting look one more time at its picturesque wilderness which we do in the form of a perfect jungle walk and head back towards Kathmandu and finally depart.
